Nightlamp Detective is a text-based detective game for iPhone. This policy explains what data the app touches and where it goes. In short: the app collects no data. It has no accounts, no servers, no analytics and no ads.
Nightlamp Detective has no backend. There is no account to create and nothing to sign in to, and none of your data is ever sent to us or to anyone else.
To let you pick up where you left off, the app keeps the following in its own storage on your iPhone: your case progress (the chats you have read, the clues you have collected, your deductions and grades, and how many hints you used), whether you have seen the introduction, the language you chose, and a note that you have unlocked the full case so it keeps working offline. None of this leaves the device. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
Chapters 2 and 3 are unlocked with a one-time in-app purchase. Buying and restoring are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. The app never sees your name, your Apple Account or your payment details; it only asks the App Store whether the full case is unlocked on this device. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
The game itself plays offline. The app connects only to Apple's App Store, to buy, restore and check the purchase. The rating prompt you may see is Apple's own system prompt.
The Support Resources screen has a "Find a Local Helpline" button that opens findahelpline.com, a third-party directory of crisis helplines, in Safari. The app sends that site nothing. Once you are on it, its own privacy policy applies.
The app contains no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDKs and does no tracking of any kind. It does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and does not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission, because there is nothing to track.
If you have turned on "Share With App Developers" in iOS Settings, Apple may share aggregated, anonymized crash and usage data with developers. This is Apple's mechanism, not ours, and we only ever see totals, never individuals. You can turn it off in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.
The app collects no information from anyone, including children. There is no user-generated content and no messaging with other people: every chat in the game is with a fictional character.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update it here and change the date at the top of this page.
